Paul Adom Otchere Releases An Update On An important Matter, Ghanaians Massively React

Ghanaians have massively reacted to the latest release from Metro TV host Paul Adom Otchere on his comments on why August 4 is not only about the big six. Paul released the update on Saturday, 6th August 2022 on the Good Evening Ghana Facebook platform.

According to the broadcast journalist, many Ghanaians have reduced Founders' Day to only celebrating the likes of Dr Kwame Nkrumah, Ako Adjei, Ofori Atta, Obetsebi Lamptey, Edward Akuffo Addo and Dr J.B. Lamptey.

Paul Adom explained that, even though the country has moved from just celebrating Dr Kwame Nkrumah to describing him as the Founder, many others created the foundation for Ghana to obtain independence and such patriotic persons are among the founders.

Many Ghanaians have disagreed with Paul as they indicated that aside from Dr Kwame Nkrumah, no other person qualified to be described as a Founder.

Some Ghanaians also agreed with Paul Adom Otchere's analysis and thanked him for the insight into the ideology behind celebrating Founders' Day.

Some Ghanaians also believe that Paul Adom has probably been paid to throw the dust into the eyes of his viewers and would not accept his explanation until he tells the reason why August 4 was chosen above all other dates. They believe that the NPP government could be shielding some reasons for picking that particular date.

Interestingly, another section of Ghanaians also believes that the Founders' day may be changed or revised if another government is elected into power. The worry of many Ghanaians is about the fact that the principles behind some decisions should be so strong that a significant number of Ghanaians should accept the basis. They have advised the government to give the due to those who deserve it because in a football match, the one who scores the goal is the goal scorer and that should be the way to go.
