Flashback: John Apea As "Junior" In The Classic Home Sweet Home TV Show.

Ghana has witnessed so many TV shows over the years and reminiscing them bring nostalgic feelings.

One of such shows is Home Sweet Home, a classic series which centred on the lives of a family and their challenges and growth.

This series which aired in the early 2000s was shown on Ghana Television (GTV) every Fridays at 8pm and had many people setting their reminders and following the show religiously.

Some people felt the show was different as it delved into what a middle class family may look like with their daily lives, coupled with the shots, locations, acting and everything sounding unique with the show.

One of such characters on the show was Junior, who was the eldest child of the Sarpong family.

Known in real life as John Apea, Junior played the bad boy son of the Sarpongs' a middle class family. His role was what some would call as a "Dadabee" child meaning a pampered child from a well to do family.

He has since gone ahead to star and work on other films like Run Baby Run, Elimina etc which have showcased on other platforms and film festivals across the globe.

A product of University of York and Oxford University, John Apea is the Commonwealth representative for the Africa Region. He is also the creator of the Commonwealth Goodwill Essay Ambassador scheme working with celebrities like Kidi, Jackie Appiah and many other stars.

John Apea is married to Dr. Vanessa Apea, a Harvard-trained consultant physician in London, and they have two children.

What are your fond memories of Junior and the entire show?
