Kumawood actress, Matilda Asare has waded into the ever growing sensational social media campaign, "fix the country" .
Matilda Asare is a staunch supporter of the ruling New Patriotic Party and had been very instrumental in the 2020 electioneering campaign which saw the re-election of President Akufo-Addo.
"As for me, I don't think there is anything wrong to be fixed in the country. Everything is working well. Nothing is wrong" she argued.
She further insisted that the proponents of the "fix the country" campaign must identify the specific problems that they think needed to be fixed rather than demanding for the whole country to be fixed.
The Kumawood actress therefore called on all Ghanaians to be patient with the president giving the negative effects of the covid-19 pandemic on the country.
Well, opinions, they say are like noses. Everyone has one. Be that as it may, it is hypocritical for anyone to say that there is nothing to fixed or everything is working perfectly. If for nothing at all, issues like poor waste management; gallamsey; increasing inequality; poverty; inadequate availability of social amenities lik water and stable power supply just to mention a few are serious developmental challenges that require urgent attention.
Irrespective of political party affiliations, demanding that elected officials solve these problems as promised is a call in the right direction and should be supported by every well meaning citizen who has the interest of the country at heart.
