Cinemas had been reopened, but the fact is that they haven't announce it to the general public. Regarding to the Covid-19 protocols, they have given the Cinemas some directives and guidelines to apply. They will be going round on Monday, 14th June to check if all the guidelines is been put in place before they go ahead to announce the reopening of Cinemas to the General public.
Kobi Rana, who is also an Actor, Producer and Film Director, was not happy with Mr Nelson's statement. He said the man is contradicting himself. He, Petter and some others had not receive any Guidelines from any Authority not to even talk of reopening of Cinemas. What he knows is the Cinemas is still not opened. But he knows it's also a away of favouring only SilverBird Gh.
The "CEO" of OldFilm Production, Mr Petter Sedufia said the GTA is acting as if the cinemas operators are hungry and want to be serve uncooked food. No!! He continue to add that, GTA, allowed conferences at Hotels but did not allow people to open cinema. How has that happened? It very unfortunate people don't understand how cinemas works but they are in there compelling rules to regulate it.
Mr Ernest Boateng, the Bord Chairman of SilverBird Gh, via phone call said that, Ghana Tourism Authority is yet to Reopen Ghana Cinemas, probably by coming Monday.
