The Film Industry seems stagnant in Ghana but keeps doing well in Nigeria and other parts of the world. To argue that YouTube and free streaming platforms have contributed to this 'collapse' of the Kumawood industry is subject to serious debate. With many thinking the narrative wouldn't change even in the absence of the aforementioned social media platforms, others reason otherwise. Film lovers in Ghana had one way or the other blame poor director-related tasks and untalented actors and actresses on the screens.
With all these about the Ghana's movie industry, the narrative is different in Nigeria. This is because Nigerians are still making it big out there with all the enormous bottlenecks all around them. One talent who has transported his talents from Ghana here into the circumferences of Nigeria and making great impact is Enock Darko. The former TV3 Talented Kids wonder dude has made his remarkable impacts all over Nigeria.
This is a great feat for Enock Darko and the Ghanaian Movie Industry because there is still hope out there while home based people saw none. This is quite a good move from Enock because he has shown why he distinguished himself when he mounted the TV3 Talented Kids platforms some years ago.
What do you make of this? Do you think Enock Darko has held the gates of Filming in Ghana far away in Nigeria? Kindly share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
