MTN hit maker is a reality show that is organized to bring out the talent in some ghanaian who are talented. The competition which started in 2012 has groomed and injected many music talents into the mainstream industry. And this year season which is the season 9 marks the third time a female has been crown the winner of MTN hit maker.
Since the commencement of MTN hit maker, it has only been the males who wins the competition upon which our very own highlife artist KiDi is included. But the female began winning the competition from season 6.
In 2017, rapper Freda Rhymz became the first female to win MTN Hitmaker.She beat off stiff competition from Drew, Yaw Berk and Xali to walk home with a Ghc 100,000 recording deal and video management worth $5,000 sponsored by Content Africa.
The second female to win MTN hit maker was singer Okailey Verse also known as OV. She became the second female who took the first position when she was crown the winner during the MTN hit maker season 7.
The third female is Adepa who won MTN hit maker season 9. The gospel singer Adepa impressed the judges with her performance at the beginning of the competition.
