Afia Pokuaa Finally Responds to Attack By His Colleague At Okay FM, Kwame Nkrumah Tikese.

Established in 2010, Accra based Okay 101.7 FM is one of the media outlets under the Despite Media Group.

Host of the station's morning show, Kwame Nkrumah Tikese has recently launched an attack on colleague journalist and host of Egyaso Gyaso, Afia Pokuaa also known as Vim Lady.

Kwame Nkrumah expressed his displeasure about the long absence of his colleague Vim Lady from work and why she is hosting her show virtually. He said this on the morning show with the support of colleague presenters Ohenenana Kwame Amoh and Maame Biama Kwafo.

Kwame Nkrumah said the Egyaso Gyaso show, now anchored outside of Ghana by Afia Pokuaa has lost touch with listeners especially in Ghana. This is because guests of the show don't live in Ghana and don't know the realities of the ordinary Ghanaian. He said the station wouldn't be where it is today if presenters were doing what he called E-Shows from their various locations. He said if Afia was sick, she should take a leave and rest and when she is better, comes back instead of the E-show she is conducting.

Kwame Nkrumah gave Vim Lady, 2 week ultimatum to decide on coming to work or face dire consequences.

Since the attack and the video of the show circulating online, many have registered their displeasure over Kwame Nkrumah's approach. They believed it should have been an internal matter and that he shouldn't have brought it on air. This included colleague media personalities Nana Yaa Brefo and Ohemaa Woyeje.

Afia has finally responded to a fan who raised similar concerns by writing " It is well my brother. It is better this way than to be in secret. God dey"

However, in a new statement by Despite Media, management stated the comment made by Kwame Nkrumah Tikese was his personal opinion and not the position of management.

The statement also mentioned that the management was aware of Afia’s leave and sanctioned the model of doing the show virtually.
