Last year, Akuapim Poloo, also known as Rosemond Brown, performed an act that was seen as illegal by the media, she appeared in court today. Many people believed the case was closed, but this was not the case. Poloo initially pleaded guilty to the charges brought against her involving her son.
Appearing before the circuit court today in Accra headed over by Her Honor Mrs Christiana Cann, the actress lawyer made the court known that, his client has decided to change her plea for not guilty to guilty.
The actress was found guilty on three counts: publishing pornographic materials, engaging in domestic violence, conduct that infringes on another person's privacy or reputation, and engaging in domestic violence, including conduct that infringes on another person's dignity and value as a human being.
She was held in police custody for two days in order to perform a pregnancy test on her to see if she was actually pregnant, as she said in court.
However, she was given bail in the amount of GHC 100,000 with two sureties. She is required to provide a landed property worth the same as the bail sum. In addition to the bail terms, the court ordered that the property's title deed be deposited at the court's Registry awaiting the outcome of the case.
