Efia Odo and Ama K. Abebrese are trending on all social media platforms due to an ongoing discussion. Ama K. Abrebrese is a celebrated actress who has contributed a lot to social and economic discussions in the country. Efia had posted strong comments indicating that Ghana's colonialism should not have been cut short.
According to Efia, Blacks do not know what to do with power. This was swiftly rebutted by Ama K. Abebrese as she described Efia's comments as 'ignorance' considering the fact that a bad leadership should not justify the benefits of colonialism. She even added that great leaders like Nkrumah ever lived and led but were thrown out by Blacks with the assistance from the western world.
Many Ghanaians could not keep calm and have made interesting remarks on social media.
Archangel Bright disagreed with Ama as he explained that Ghana does not have economic independence because of the rampant borrowing from the western world. He seemed to say that Efia was right in saying that the independence was declared too early.
Trevor Kojo also disagreed with Ama as he stated that he is yet to see Ama speak against the NPP government. This is to tell Ama that she supports NPP.
Obaa Yhaa also disagreed with Ama but rather supported Efia. Obaa pointed out that there is a problem of poor leadership in the country. She also that there is no authority to solve the indiscriminate dumping of refuse and other issues. She indicated that things could have been better if the country was still under the supervision of the western world.
