Renowned Ghana comedian, DKB was bombarded with stern castigations from netizens and some of his social media followers yesterday, after he waded into Moesha Budong's brouhaha, in a bid to show care to the estranged slay queen. A video surfaced on the Internet yesterday, where Moesha Budong was seen surrounded by a number of men who purportedly rushed to stopped her from committing suicide. This came at the backdrop of her decision to repent and abandon her former lifestyle to turn a new leaf. After the disheartening footage went viral, concerns were raised by her close celebrity friends and netizens who felt the former actress needs help.
On this background, Derrick Kobina Boney popularly known as DKB tried extending his assistance to the Moesha, however after several phone call attempts Moesha wasn't answering. So he took his page to implore anyone close to her to notify her about his calls. The post rather triggered incessant vilifications from netizens to the comedian as they felt DKB's post was irrelevant if he genuinely wanted to help Moesha. DKB was angered with the hostile reaction on the post and has gone on to block over 150 people so far for insulting him.
Responding to the vilifications today, DKB schooled netizens on who a fan is and admonished netizens to show love and respect during their criticisms. " A fan is a short term for FANATIC, meaning they love you for who you are". DKB noted. Check out the post and some reactions from netizens.
