The newest commercial radio in Ghana’s capital city, Accra is Asaase Radio 99.5MHz and its infrastructure, personnel and equipment's are literally unmatched.

In my candid opinion, there are only three (3) radio stations, Joy Fm, Citi Fm and Asaase Radio and trust me, Asaase Radio has started on a whole new level and industry observers can only anticipate how far it will go and may impact on the nation;s media practice.

After months of test transmission, the station launched a subtle live program a year ago, to announce their presence in the media industry at the capital city of Ghana that saw seasoned and award-winning senior Journalist, Kwaku Sakyi Addo, anchoring the maiden edition of his new show ‘Sunday Night’. As it turns one year by June 14, 2021, listeners have come to adore the station.

The station belongs to an NPP Stalwart, Lawyer Gabby Otchere Darko, who doubles as a cousin of the President, H. E Nana Addo. Clearly informed by this background, the station undoubtedly is advancing the Danquah Busia tradition in its perspective as a station, but one too cannot hide the fact that, they do that in an open and objective atmosphere, with the intent of informing discerning listeners on literally every news.

The Radio's interior decorations is next to none! In fact, it can easily qualify for the local office of the world's giant media houses and it is directly comparable to the studios of BBC, CNN and Aljazeera that we see on TV.

What is even interesting is that, the management employed the services of a Ghanaian interior decor expert based in London to plan out and create every detail that is today seen and celebrated. The designer, Dela Amewode (@casadel_interiorsgh) is indeed, an expert at what she does and needs commendation, any day. She has created studious that at the moment Ghana does not have one. And it is obvious that, this excellence came at a high price and Lawyer Gabby Otchere Darko has the big pockets for all this, undoubtedly.

Asaase Radio is an urban brand based in Cantonments in the Greater Accra Region. It is gaining lots of following despite been new in the media circles, thanks to their studio set-up and contents.
