Shatta Wale is known to take advantage of any situation to draw attention to himself and to cause traffic online. The self-styled dance hall king thrives very well on the controversy. He, therefore, goes the extra length to create a situation that will put him in the news. Ghanaians became apprehensive when news made round that the "I know my level" hitmaker was shot by unknown gunmen and he was rushed to the hospital in a critical condition. The news was reportedly broken by his road manager and Personal Assistant through a snap. Though some Ghanaians were careful not to be pranked by Shatta Wale again, they couldn't bring themselves to believing that he could go that far just in the name of trends. Ghanaians, therefore, wished him well and charged the Police Service to conduct investigations earnestly to bring the perpetrators to book.
Meanwhile, according to a press release by the Ghana Police Service, they have made attempts to locate the whereabouts of the musician but to no avail. The police stated that they have contacted close relations of Shatta Wale but they all do not know where he currently is. Concern Ghanaians who are beginning to think that this could be one of Shatta Wale's usual gimmicks to the trend have become worried and urged the police service to immediately arrested him if it turns out that he faked the news. With the works done by the Inspector General of Police so far, he is not someone to joke. Many people are optimistic he will call Shatta Wale to order if the news turn out to be fake.
Here are reactions from Ghanaians;
