According to an investigative report by The Fourth Estate, Manasseh Azure Awuni, a licensed health practitioner in Ghana's capital, Accra, used his clinic and practice as an opportunity to sexually assault scores of women seeking treatment at his clinic.
As part of his unprofessional and criminal activities, Dr. Jonathan Ohene Nkunim and his facility, Nature's Hand Therapeutic Centre, also have three licenses from a state agency that regulates practitioners like him.
A detailed investigation shows that Ohene Nkunim acquired the licenses—potentially illegally—through dubious means and that regulatory officials played a key role in that process.
