AKANS.

Akans are a meta-ethnicity living in the southern regions of the present day Ghana and Ivory Coast in West Africa. Let's take a look at some female celebrities who are Akans.

Becca is a singer, songwriter actress. The award winning musician was born in Kumasi and is an Akan.


Nana Ama McBrown is a television presenter, an actress and also a writer. She was born and lived in Kumasi.


Jackie Appiah is a Ghanaian actress and born in Canada. The award winning screen goddess is an Akan.


FANTES.

Fantes or Mfantesefo are an Akan people. The subgroup is mainly gathered in the Central coastal region of Ghana, with some also in Ivory Coast. Originally, "Fantes" referred to the half that left. Take a look at some celebrities who were Fantes.

Yvonne Nelson is an actress, model, film producer and an entrepreneur. She was born in Accra but she is a decent of the Fantes people and the Ga people.
