Prince Yawson, popularly known as Waakye was one of the most decorated and celebrated actors in the country. Even though not the most successful movie star in the country, his contribution to the movie industry was significant and very encouraging. The actor or popular comedian had the name Waakye from a popular scene which he carried enough out his movie career.
The name Waakye became popular because it was common and very easy to relate. After his career came to a halt, people wondered what could be the cause. People were concerned about how and what could be the reason why he was off the screens. But this was due to a long term illness which rendered him incapacitated.
After Ghanaians realized what he was going through as heartbreaking photos of him popped up on the internet, people paid for his bills in order to keep him in a better state. Funds to pay in order to be discharged was a big problem, and at this point Ghanaians came through again.
Waakye came back to take on pastoral role which seemed to have fulfilled his dreams as he seemed to have built a personal relationship with God during this time. This was definitely a second chance at life, and he made the best out of it.
He has finally joined the departed souls in the heavens and people could not believe this day would come. A picture which broke the hearts of many and gave people a heart to help him is the picture below.
This picture made people wonder how a person could achieve so much and be bedridden all of a sudden due to an unplanned and unforeseen circumstance. May his soul Rest In Peace.
