Top Five Ghanaian Artistes to Watch out for in 2022

The past year has being a good one for our industry and it is all about positive vibes going forward and this submission of mine seeks to focus on Top Five artistes I think would be ubiquitous with the fireworks!

          BLACK SHERIFF

Killer Blacko is first on my list and deservedly so because last year was a complete disturbance from Kweku Frimpong. He came in with a unique trap-style and the magic is found in how well he relates this with his emotions because he is a ‘sad boy’. A vibe so contagious it got arguably the biggest artist today on the continent, Burna Boy, wanting to work with him & subsequently doing just that! Watch out for this boy in 2022

          MR DREW

There’s something about this bald-shaven dancer turned singer which makes me believe in our industry again! Saying he had a good run is an understatement, the guy had an impeccable year in 2021 and almost everything he touched was golden including the beautiful piece with SEFA ‘E choke’. He is a guy mapped out for big things and it is a DNA thing I guess, little wonder he even prefers older women.

              OKESE1

Amotia Gang frontman, Okese1 had a very strong run of back-to-back hits in 2021, frimmmm!! He has laced up our industrial boots with street anthems which includes a personal favorite ‘Na Today’ and Nadia must’ve been very proud of her man! Okese1 is a chairman with hits and that’s on facts, watch out for him 2022

              DARKOVIBES

A true Ga boy to the core who has stood out as an exceptional talent even after the comatose of La Meme Gang, a music group he still technically is part of! Talent always stands-out and if it needs any introduction, then J’e M’appelle Darko Vibes. This is a guy we all should be in the anticipation for in 2022.

              CAMIDOH

Relatively the most unpopular in this index of top Five (5) artiste to look out for in 2022. A new guy in the industry literally but if you have the advantage of George Britton as your manager, then it’s normal practice to have high expectations. An Ayigbe Toffee to the core and his melodious tone and composure when singing makes him a talent to be on the lookout for in 2022. He relatable style to the AfroBeats genre which makes his delivery surreal, listened yet to his new single ‘Sugar’ and this is a guy I am definitely rooting for this year and that completes my list of artist to watch out for in 2022! Let me know in the comment section who you think should be included and didn’t make the list
