The Ghanaian Entertainment environment has recently experienced a new wave of versatile toast particularly from General Media (TV3 Network, Ghana).
They have been consistent in providing their viewers and listeners with the best package of Entertainment, Sports and News Contents/Coverage, and I must say that inarguably, they one of the most watched TV Stations in Ghana and beyond.
Ever since they started this love and relationship reality show dubbed, "Date Rush," Ghanaians have continuously expressed their mixed reactions, particularly in relation to the rationale behind the whole thing, coupled with the impact it is having on the youthful population of Ghana.
Some have argued that it is radically shifting the country's cultural ways of searching for prospective marriage or relationship partners, and rather adopting an alien one. This then could however imply that we are not paying keen attention to that which our forefathers taught us or inculcated into us.
In contrast to the above, others are also of the opinion that the media has become part and parcel of our lives; hence if an avenue has been created to find live on the Television, why not make effective use of it?
Besides, love can be found anywhere at anytime; what matters most is where that love leads the partners involved in the relationship.
Meanwhile, TV3 has introduced a new package on the show dubbed, "The Celebrity/Celebrities Edition of Date Rush," which came off last night, June 13, 2021.
The purpose of that edition was to throw a couple of questions in relation to love and relationship to the contestants, and all the guest had to do was to judge all the answers or responses by him/herself, and at the end of show, pick one person for a donation exercise.
One of the guests on the show was Abena Korkor. Abena has been trending on social media over a couple of days now, in relation to some alleged men she has had an affair.
Due to her level of popularity and influence on the Ghanaian media arena, viewers were very much expectant of her.
It indeed came off live and coloured.
Meanwhile, a TV3 News Anchor and renowned Media Personality, Roland Walker has shared a story on his Facebook page, regarding Abena's appearance and performance on Date Rush.
Due to that story, Abena Korkor is receiving massive reactions from Ghanaians.
Below are some of the reactions:
