We have a few mixed race Ghanaian celebrities in our movie industry—and as we can see from their complexion, one of their parents is foreign, but many fans have no idea where these parents are from.
Surprisingly, it is said that almost all of these mixed-race actors are not in a relationship and have no idea where their other half has gone. At the very least, they know where their alleged ‘white' parents came from.
These mixed-race celebrities have found a home in Ghana since they were born here, and with the other half of their family disinterested, it's either Ghana or nowhere.
Juliet Ibrahim: Lebanese father
Van Vicker: Dutch father (Holland)
Nicki Samonas...Greecian Father (Greece)
Majid Michel: Lebanese father (Lebanon)
Nadia Buari: Lebanese father (Lebanon)
Sister Derby and Wanlov Kubolor: Romanian father (Romania)
There a many other rising celebrities with foreign descents in Ghana. In my subsequent post, I will put the spotlight on these upcoming celebrities, who are making various impacts in the entertainment and art industry.
These celebrities are icons in our society and they are tools that drive positive societal changes. In my opinion, they have done, and still continue to do commendable work even in the face of massive challenges.
