A Nigerian singer has been fined and deported from Ghana for allegedly assaulting a doctor.

Bella Shmurda, a Nigerian musician, was fined and deported from Ghana with two others on September 1, 2021, by the Adjabeng Circuit Court in Accra for assaulting a medical practitioner at a quarantine center.

For attacking a doctor with a fork while in quarantine at the MPlaza Hotel in Accra, Bella Shurmuda, real name Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed, 22, and two others, Ramsey Omeofe and Jubreel Abimbola were fined GH2,000 apiece, deported, and forbidden from returning to Ghana for three months.

According to the News Day report sighted by kenfadskillsolve.com, the three men who tested positive for COVID-19 upon their arrival in Ghana on August 27, 2021, were angry when the results came back positive.

A nurse who was caring for patients in quarantine at the MPLaza Hotel in Accra testified that the three people threatened to raise a ruckus if they were not released the next day.

They claimed the antigen test was a forgery and that they were not Coronavirus-positive.

Bella Shmurda and his colleagues attacked the Ghanaian doctor with a fork as part of their plan, attempting to beat him and another person who tried to help.

They also hurled obscenities and curses at the health personnel and the country as a whole, accusing them of conducting “false” COVID-19 tests.

The three were charged with Verbal Abuse on a Medical Officer, Physical Assault on a Medical Officer, and Attempted Assault with a Table Fork on a Medical Officer, and were convicted by the Adjabeng Circuit Court on their guilty pleas.
