President Akufo Addo's flagship policies like the free Senior High School; planting for food and jobs; one village, one dam may have generated some significant positive impacts for Ghanaians but could not find their way into the top most achievements of the NPP goverment as far as the views of Blakk Rasta is concerned.
According to the outspoken reggae musician, the two most important achievements of President Akufo-Addo is the appointment of Henry Quartey as the Greater Accra Regional Minister and later, the confirmation of Dr George Akuffo Dampare as the substantive IGP.
The maverick "taxi driver" show host contends the two individuals- Dr Akuffo Dampare and Mr Henry Quartey have done so well in serving their country and saving the face of the president.
"Large and in charge", the gentle giant, Henry Quartey has been popularly recognized as one of the best appointees of the president.
He has so far taken a number of critical decisions geared towards making Accra the cleanest city in Africa.
Under his leadership, several unapproved structures in the center of the capital city have been demolished. The relocation of onion traders from the congested Agbogbloshie market to Adjen Kotoku is another remarkable achievement. He has also launched the "operation clean your frontage" - an intitiative which will ensure that residents of Accra keep their surroundings clean regularly.
On his part, Dr Dampare has evolved as the new darling boy of Ghanaians. Even before he was confirmed as the substantive IGP, Dr Dampare began proving to Ghanaians that there is nothing impossible with commitment and a great sense of purpose.
He has began an ambitious process of reforming the Ghana Police Service which is attracting a lot of affection from the citizenry. With Dampare, the Ghanaian is confidence that every law breaker will get the punishment he or she deserves.
Indeed when the story of the Akufo-Addo legacy is told, the appointment of Dr Dampare and Mr Henry Quartey will feature prominently.
