Who is winning the Gospel artiste of the year at the 22nd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards this year. The nominees are all deserving but one would be emerge winner.

The Award-winning Ghanaian gospel artiste and songwriter who won the gospel artiste of the year at last year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
She has several awards to her name. She won the 2021 Most Streamed Female Act of the Year Award at the 3Music Women's Brunch. She was among the Top 30 Most Influential Women in Music by the 3Music Awards Women’s Brunch in March, 2021.
Min. Diana had five nominations in the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), in which she won the Gospel Artiste of the year award. The other nominations were Songwriter of the Year, Artiste of the Year, Most Popular Song of the Year "W'asem", and Gospel Song of the Year.
Akesse Brempong born as Phil Evans Akesse-Brempong is a young, gifted worship leader, songwriter, preacher and gospel recording artiste with a unique blend of traditional and contemporary styles of music.
The sensation musician has featured Joe Mettle in one of his amazing song titled "Blessed" which he released in 2020. Other songs released by him in the year under reveal include Onyame Tumfo (The Prayer Song), Incense 2, Incense 1.
For him to win this year's Gospel Artiste wouldn't be a surprise, for he has being so influenciall in the Ghanaian Gospel music in the year under review.
Celestine Donkor is a Ghanaian gospel musician and songwriter. In March 2021, she was nominated for the Most Influential Women in Music by the 3Music Awards Women’s Brunch.
She is the founder of the Celestial Praise, an annual Gospel music concert which has grown quiet well in the recent years.
Minister Donkor collaborated with numerous gospel musicians including Joe Mettle, Joyce Blessing, Ceccy Twum, Mkhululi Bhebhe, Edem, Philipa Baafi, and Funny Face.
She won two awards in the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards which includes the Gospel Song Of The Year and female Vocalist of the year. She also won the Gospel Song Of The Year, by 3Music Awards.
Since 2009, she has won all her nomination except one(1) back in 2018 which was the Gospel Artiste of the year by Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
Mins. Donkor released some inspirational tracks in 2020, some of which includes "Adom Ne Ahunumobro", Ewurade, Belongs to You, Thank You, Yedawase.
Empress Gifty (formerly Empress Gifty Osei) is a Ghanaian gospel musician and fashionista. She was awarded the artiste of the year in the 2018 National Gospel Music Awards. In 2019 she led the nomination list in the Maranatha Global Worship Music Awards held in Kenya.
Empress Gifty outwitted the likes of Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Kofi Mole, Amerado, Ohemaa Mercy and Camidoh as she emerged winner of the Digital Act of the year at the 4th edition of 3Music Awards in March 2021.
She released a song titled "Jesus Over Do" in 2020 that was a hit. She has however released a latest which came in the year April 1, 2021, titled "Odi Yompo" ft. Zaza Mokhethi.
Joseph Oscar Nii Armah Mettle better known by his stage name was born July 5 1985Joe Mettle, is a Ghanaian gospel singer and songwriter. He is the first Gospel musician to win VGMA Artist of the year award in his Genre, on April 8, 2017.
Mins. Mettle founded the Joe Mettle Ministries in 20007. The Ministry has two major annual headline events; Praiz Reloaded, midyear and Lovegift in December every year.
He had four nominees in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2020 but didn't win any of them. The categories included Gospel Song of the Year, Gospel Artiste of the year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Album of the year.
Meanwhile he released a flamboyant track which won the hearts of many Ghanaians as it was played almost everywhere. The song which was titled "I see Miracles" had it wave even across the entire country.
Nana Yaw Boakye better known by his stage name MOG Music is a Ghanaian contemporary gospel singer, songwriter and a Pastor. He won the Male Vocalist of the Year 2020 at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
He has collaborated and performed with numerous gospel musicians, including Ohemaa Mercy, Joe Mettle, Denzel Prempeh, Jekalyn Carr, Danny Nettey, Nii Okai, Ron Kenoly.
He is mostly known for his amazing song titled "Be Lifted" which was released in 2018.
Meanwhile he has released a lot other in the year under review, some which include Living God, Local Praise, and Jesus.
Efe Grace is a sensational gospel minister who is now out with two singles titled, 'Lord Have Your Way' and 'King of Glory'. Her fame began to shoot when she released a rendition of her father's (Reverend Mensah Bonsu) track, 'Yehowa ne M'abank3se'.
She has released some wonderful songs in the year under review which includes Lord Have Your Way, Din Jesus, and Aseda among others.
The ‘Yahweh Victory chant’ hit maker was formerly known as Jeshurun Okyere.
Jeshrun is also the convener of one of Ghana biggest worship gatherings AUGUST WORSHIP which has featured many local and African acts like Nathaniel Bassey , Preye Odede , Joe Mettle , Joe Beecham , Victoria Orenze among others.
His music and concerts has won several awards and nominations at the African Gospel Music Awards UK, VGMAs, Ghana Music Awards UK among others.
He released some outstanding sings in 2020 that could steal him this award, some which include You Reign, Mama's Song, and Hymn Medley among others.
