Wendy recently shared a video on her Instagram page where she discussed a lot about heartbreak. According to the award-winning singer, heartbreak is universal. Wendy Shay said it could happen to a man and a woman. She explained that heartbreak doesn’t care if you’re a musical artist, star, or whatever.
In a recent interview with Glitch Africa, Wendy Shay disclosed that her viral heartbreak song was personal to her. She also revealed that the song was intentionally made to empower women, especially those in abusive relationships.
Ever since Wendy Shay's song was released, many fans presumed that she has gotten a broken heart. Wendy is one of the few Ghanaian female celebrities who love to keep her relationship status private.

According to Wendy Shay, what truly gingered her hit single song was the death of the late Nigerian Gospel singer Osinachi. Wendy disclosed that after hearing the whole issue about the incident, she decided to go to the studio to record a song to empower women, especially those who are living in abusive relationships.
The song currently has over 1.1 million views on Youtube. Many fans of Wendy Shay across the country have reacted positively to her song.
