For so long, Ghanaians and Nigerians have collaborated on projects that the two countries' citizens are sometimes indistinguishable. It would be tough to tell a Ghanaian from a Nigerian apart from their languages and accents. Ghanaians frequently travel to Nigeria to conduct business, while Nigerians also visit Ghana to conduct their business in a peaceful manner, and the entertainment industry is one of the areas where they frequently collaborate to conduct business together.
Over the years, Ghanaians and Nigerians have collaborated to create many excellent films and songs to assist each other's entertainment industries thrive. As a result, it is common to see many Nigerian entertainment giants visit Ghana to cooperate with their brothers and sisters in the industry, and Ghanaians are equally recognised for doing so. However, a Nigerian artist who was in Ghana recently has been deported from the country.
The musician, whose true name is Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed but is better known in the entertainment industry as Bella Shmurda was deported from the country for a crime he committed with his two other guys. The Adjabeng Circuit Court in Accra sentenced Bella Shmurda and the two other guys, who are also known as Ramsey Omeofe and Jubreel Abimbola, to pay a fine of Ghc2000 each to a medical doctor they attacked in the Mplaza Hotel. Following the fine, the court ordered their immediate deportation from the country, as well as a three month banned from entering the country.
This is the law, and anyone who breaks it, whether a movie star or a music celebrity, must face the consequences. Once you commit a crime, you must face the consequences, and this should serve as a lesson to others who believe they can commit a crime and walk away with no consequences. You will be punished if you are arrested and taken to court.
