Yaa Jackson, whose true name is Maame Yaa Konadu Jackson Bentum, is a Ghanaian actress and singer. Yaa Jackson was born in Kumasi on October 18, 1999. Mr Jackson K Bentum and Mrs Lydia Konadu Bentum, Yaa Jackson's parents, are both from Kumasi.
Yaa attended the Salem Educational Complex for her Junior High School after she complete her primary school in Kumasi. She then completed her Senior High School education at the elite Presbyterian Girls Senior High School in Kumasi, graduating in 2019. In Senior High School, she offered General Arts.
At a young age, Yaa Jackson began her acting career. She made her acting debut in the film ‘Okukuseku,' alongside the late Santo and Agya Ntow, when she was just two years old. Her second film, ‘Me Wuo Akyi (After My Death),' was released when she was around 9 years old. Her father, Mr. Jackson K Bentum, directed the movie. Vivian Jill, Bill Asamoah, Kwaku Manu, Maame Serwaa, Benedicta Gafah, Lilwin, and Emelia Brobbey have all appeared in films alongside her.
Yaa is a successful model and vocalist in addition to acting. She has amassed over 60,000 YouTube subscribers to far. Her most recent music video, 'Ginger,' directed by Abdul Shaibu Jackson, has already received over 160,000 views.
She began her career in the entertainment industry at the age of nine and hasn't stopped since. Jackson is without a doubt one of Ghana's most vivacious young actors, having amassed over 1.5 million Instagram followers.
