Time flies so fast! who knew that a little boy who was born 34 years ago has become a famous Ghanaian musician, entrepreneur, philanthropist and venture capitalist.
Desmond Kwesi Blackmore also known as D-Black turned 34 today, he was born on the 12th of January 1987 to a father, John Derek Blackmore, who was a businessman and a mother who was a public servant. D-Black, nevertheless, grew up in a single parent home. He has a total of nine siblings, eight of whom are half-siblings.
He attended Ridge Church School then to Pope John Secondary School & Junior Seminary before the University of Cape Coast (B.A Economics) and University Of Ghana, Legon (BFA Theatre Arts / Music). In 2009, D-Black kicked off his career as an independent artist in the group “D-Black & Kwaku t” releasing a group album ‘Target Practice’.
With God's grace and efforts, D-Black has made a name for himself, owning the Black Avenue Muzik record label, which produces music by Wisa Greid, Freda Rhymz, Sefa, Dahlin Gage, Nina Ricchie, and Osayo. D-Black, among other things, owns Club Onyx , Black Avenue Films, a Clothing line and is currently the brand ambassador for Ciroc in Ghana.
Not very long ago it was found out that D-Black had signed a deal that was worth $150,000 and you bet he is one of the richest musicians in Ghana 2020. full disclosure of D Black net worth is not available as at now.
At the age of 23, D-Black had his first child and although he is not married to his woman, they have been blessed with three children he loves so much.
