The boxer who received the news of his mother's passing away on 20th May stated that he was on his way to the Koforidua hospital to receive details on the death of his dearly beloved mother.
Bukom Banku in an interview, revealed that his mother was taken ill for the past 20 years and lost her eyesight 17years ago before finally passing on.
According to Bukom, he is the first of three children to his mum and therefore he made sure he always visited his mother at Awukugua in the Eastern region where she was every month to provide her with foodstuffs and money.
He stated that, he had to send his mother to Awukugua to stay there because she needed people around her because of her blindness.
When asked how he will raise money for his mother's funeral, he stated that he knew a few prominent people who had already promised their support for the funeral. He also sends a message to all Ghanaians who can help him so he would give his mother a befitting burial.
