Kumawood is a privately owned movie and awards industry that is based in Kumasi, Ghana. It was founded in the 2006 by Samuel Kwabena Dario, a Ghanaian businessman and entrepreneur. Kumawood produces or makes movies in Akan language (Twi). The Kumawood industry has produced a lot of actresses in Ghana. The likes of Nana Ama Mcbrown, Emelia Brobbey, Vivian Jill Lawrence, Ellen White, Vivian Okyere, Benedicta Gafah, among others are all kumawood actresses.
Ghallywood on the other hand, is a movie industry in Ghana which mostly uses the English dialect. This movie industry has been blessed with beautiful actresses such as Jackie Appiah, Nadia Buari, Martha Ankomah, Yvonne Okoro, Juliet Ibrahim and many more.
The two industries have entertained us with their comic and educative movies for sometime now.
