After threatening Twene Jonas to deport him to Ghana within three months, Ghanaians have waited patiently for the time to reach and see how controversial social media personality Valentina Agyeiwa’s declaration play out.
Not that Ghanaians believed what Afia Schwarzenegger said, as in having the influence to pull strings for it to happen, but rather wait and see how she would come to explain her inability to get it done.
The rate of abuse of social media by certain personalities in the Ghanaian space is becoming overbearing. People take to social media at the least opportunity to spew out clearly unnecessary things in the name of entertainment.
It is unfortunate how whiles people in other parts of the world are using this great tool to promote personal development especially in personal finances with great content, the space in this country is used to settle personal scores and nothing fruitful.
The Ghanaian social media space is gradually becoming synonymous with negative energy, bickering, fights and all that which is not right..
So as we await to see whether Afia’s declaration was just mere bragging or just a means to look more important than she actually is, let us be mindful of how we use the internet, be it social media or any other avenue.
