Highlife singer Nana Yaw Kumi, affectionately called Kumi Guitar has employed Reggae and Dancehall icon, Shatta Wale, for Kro Kro Me. According to him, he saw the real Bandana (Shatta) on this project, while the tune is a highlife genre in its original taste. “Thank you #Shattawale I saw Bandana on this track Do you agree family? Go check out.
“Family, Highlife in its original state Go check it out, thank you.” Kro Kro Me which translated in English means pamper me largely talks about the loving a lady shows to her man. Because of how she treats her man, the man promised to stick to her forever.
Interestingly, the visualizer video for the song is out already. Poka Studios produced it. Kumi Guitar is a signee on the Zylofon Music label together with Obibini. Both Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale were all on the label too. Kro Kro Me is the 2018 Highlife Song of the Year’s first project for 2021.
In the same year, 2018, he bagged the Highlife Artiste of The Year award for Ghana Music Awards UK. Incredibly, he is well known for his 2018 hit song Betweener. During the last year 2020, he ended with Sex with the theme that there is never a guy that’s a virgin.
