Charles Nii Armah Mensah Junior is a Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artist who is popularly known by his stage name Shatta Wale, formerly Bandana. His best-known singles are "Dancehall King", my level and we taking over which led him to win the Artiste of the Year at the 2014 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. He was born on the 17th of October, 1984.
However, I won't talk much or brag on his biography because that's not the main reason why we came here, so let's get started with the main reason why we came here.
Shatta Wale was arrested with two others by the Ghana police for faking a robbery attack shot. The two others were arrested because they supported him to promote the fake news which kept most Ghanaians in fear and anxiety.
He confessed in a post on Facebook that he is sorry but it was a prank. He faked that prank because popular Ghanaian pastor Akwasi prophesied that he will be attacked and shot on the 18th October, 2021 which he did that in reference to that prophecy.
He said in the court room that he thought the the police and other security agencies will protect him to prevent any attack but they didn't which he was shocked and that made him to fake the prank.
But, he was mainly arrested because people were like arrest him for putting us in fear which is wrong. Am very glad the pastor was arrested for a false prophecy because he also put Shatta Wale in fear as he even stated in the court room.
Shatta Wale shouldn't have been arrested because he was just trying to make reference and see the pastor's reaction to that as his prophecy didn't work but he was rather punished.
Don't you think the security agencies didn't do well also and are to be blamed. If a prophet or pastor has prophesied the death of someone which means the person's life is in danger then why won't you protect that person.
The truth is Shatta Wale should not have been arrested, the security agencies are to be blamed.
