To be nominated for seven different categories in the 2021 Vodafone Ghana Music (VGMA) awards would be a big plus for any seasoned artiste, not to talk about an emerging talent.
Up and coming musician from Kumasi, Kofi Jamar has claimed that he his waiting to win something from the 2021 VGMA before he visits his former security colleagues. He made claim on TV3's SHOWBIZ 360 tonight, Friday 16th April, 2021.
The host of the programme Giovani Caleb, congratulated the musician on his seven nominations for the upcoming VGMA Awards. He then quizzed Kofi Jamar, "I heard you are a hustler, you have been engaged in a number of jobs including security. When are you going to visit your former colleagues and employers?".
Kofi Jamar replied by saying that he wants to win an award before he visit them so that Party would be bigger.
Giovani Caleb jokingly said, " when you visit them greet the supervisor for me".
Kofi Jamar also revealed that, the Kumerica movement is here to stay when the host questioned him about whether the movement can stand the test of time.
He said, "Yes definitely the movement is here to stay. You (Giovani Caleb) have been supporting it ibig time".
Kofi Jamar is challenging for Best Hip Hop Artiste, Best Dancehall song, Vodafone Best Most popular song. The rest are Best Collaboration, Best New Artiste and Best Hip Hop song.
