
One of the veterans in the radio Industry in the Northern Region has passed on.
Alhaji Rashid Bawah, who is also a pioneer for Dagbani local movies in the Northern Region was pronounced dead on Thursday night.
Alhaji Rashid who is popularly known as BBC in the radio and movie industry until his death was known for his immense contribution to the growth and success of the radio and movie industry.
He first started his radio profession at GBC radio Savannah in Tamale where he was the host of a popular local radio program loved by many people.
He was also a movie director and also a producer for a number of local movies in the Northern Region.
Until his demise, he was the Director of Programs at Dagbon radio, a local radio station in Tamale.
His death has been described as a big lost to the radio and movie industry as he was very instrumental for the success of the industry.
