Emmanuel Owusu-Bonsu, known by his stage name Wanlov the Kubolor is a Ghanaian-Romanian musician, film director and cultural icon. He has been one of the celebrities in Ghana, who have declared their support for the LGBTQ community in Ghana.
Today, it was reported by the Ghana police service that they have arrested some 21 people who are members of the LGBT community, who were organizing a meeting in Ho, the capital of the Volta region. And since LGBT rights are not are legal in Ghana, the people will be sent to court and punished.
And Wanlov the Kuborlor who is also a supporter of the group has reacted to this arrest. He wrote on his Twitter page that shame on Ghana police for this illegal wickedness.
