She is such an enthusiastic yet relaxed performer.
Efya's talent in music was discovered when she participated in the maiden edition of stars of the future music reality show.
Afterwards, she joined forces with Irene Logan, the winner of the reality show to form Irene and Jane.
Together, the released songs like Babe, Heat it up etc.
They later separated to pursue their individual career.
Normally, it is sometimes difficult to break- through anytime music duos decided to go solo.
However, Efya gracefully beat the odds to successful music.
In an interview with Danai Mavunga of Arise magazine, Efya described her genre of music as Afro soul with a hint of pop.
She has a huge fan base both home and abroad.
Her mother, Nana Adwoa Awindor is a great supportor and believably her number one fan.
Her mother who is also a popular personality in Ghana, has hosted the most watched TV show Greetings from Abroad.
Nana Adwoa Awindor is also the Development queenmother of Afigya-Kwabre district in the Ashanti region of Ghana.
Efya's mother is also the first to be elected as the President of the Continental Executive Board of African Queens and Women Cultural Leaders Network.
Additionally, she is also a member of the Ghana Union of Queenmothers (Women Traditional Leaders).
As a pioneer in television broadcasting, Efya's mother has a very respected personality.
Undoubtedly she will easily come to mind when considering women in Ghana that has decent code of dressing.
One additional interesting fact about Nana Adwoa Awindor is the fact that, if not for Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, our former first lady, she would have been first to no one when it comes to wearing headgear. They really represent the beautiful Ghanaian culture well in those stylish headgears.
However, Efya, despite her background, has her own style and choices, a way she has chosen to represent her brand.
As a contemporary classical female musician, branding usually becomes challenging and often criticised, especially in our African setting where women are morally and culturally suppose to be responsible in their dressing.
Eyfa has fairly received her own portion of this criticism often times. But it seems Efya's might introduce a new perspective into her personal branding in the near future.
In a recent post on her Twitter page captioned "Nhyira Nka Nyame" with a stunning photo of herself attached , astounded fans commented with lots of praises.
A mother's influence shall always be with a child.
