Johnny Hughes - I Am Wearing Green Today For This Reason

TV3 Johnny Hughes has carved a niche for bringing out hidden information requiring immediate attention. He has continuously advised the Nana Addo government to groom the youth to enhance succession planning.

The broadcast journalist has been on the neck of the current NPP administration to see the right things in place. On Wednesday, 24th August 2022, Johnny promised viewers to bring out another important piece of information.

Johnny Hughes explained that he was wearing green because of a reason. He further stated that there was too much tension at the Ghana Immigration Service and he would tackle the issue in his editorial.

It is undeniable that the Ghana Immigration Service is known for its green uniform. It can be interpreted that Johnny wanted to empathise with them and so found it necessary to be in a green outfit.

Johnny Hughes further explained that the Ghana Immigration Service has become the second most corrupt institution under its current Boss.

Johnny Hughes expressed his gross disappointment at how the boss of the Immigration Service was promoted twice in a day from deputy superintendent to the superintendent and then to Chief Superintendent.

He expressed sadness about how the staff of the Ghana Immigration are complaining about the happenings in the institution.

Interestingly, Johnny revealed that he has received information concerning how regional commanders were 'unfairly' demoted to district commanders, despite their work experience and quality of service.

Johnny Hughes queried why some regional commanders were transferred to work as district or sector commanders.

Johnny revealed that the regional commanders are not happy with what is going on in the institution.

Johnny indicated his displeasure at the two-year extension of the contract for Mr Kwame Asuah Takyi despite promises not to renew contracts for retirees.

What are your thoughts on the ongoing discussion? Can the tension at GIS be resolved, if indeed it exists?
