Gyakie: What You Need To Know About Her And How She Celebrated Her Dad On Father's Day

Jackline Acheampong popularly known as Gyakie, is a Ghanaian afrobeat /afro fusion singer signed to Flip the music, RCA Records and Sony Music. Gyakie was born on December 16 1998 in Kumasi where she started schooling.

Gyakie completed her senior secondary school education in TI Ahamadiya at Amakom Kumasi. She's currently furthering her education at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), studying International Business.

Gyakie is born to the legendary Ernest Owoahene Nana Acheampong and Madam Mariam. Nana Acheampong is a Ghanaian highlife musician. He was part of the famous group, 'Lumba brothers'.

It is obvious Gyakie inherited some singing genes from her dad because she sings so well. Gyakie started her music career professionally in 2019 when she released her first single titled "Love is Pretty" which paved way for another single, "Never Like This".

Gyakie rose to fame after the release of this song. "Never Like This" became the anthem of every lady, the song was what broken hearted people fell on for some sort of hope.

We all know Gyakie's major breakout came from her song titled "Forever", which happens to be on her Seed Ep. This particular song earned her a deal with RCA Records, Sony Music. After the song went viral on all streaming platforms, Gyakie made a remix with Omah Lay, a Nigerian singer and it's doing so well.

Few days ago, she released visuals for her song titled "WHINE" which is on her EP as well the song is already trending number 5 on YouTube and half a million views in 3 days.

Lovers of Gyakie's music can't wait for another hit song and she has promised a new song in July.

Yesterday was father's day and most celebrities post photos of their fathers and husbands to celebrate them. We had a lot of photos coming up on social media from Kuami Eugene, Wendy Shay, Kalybos, Bismark the joke, Nana Ama McBrown and others.

Gyakie also took to her Twitter to tweet a lovely photo of herself and the legendary Nana Acheampong to celebrate him on father's day. Although Gyakie's post did not come with a long emotional message as others do, the picture told everything.

Her post was captioned "MR ACHEAMPONG".
