Some where in 2020 Ghanaians had a joyful new as Jethro Sheeran and Alonestar an artist who fuses hip hop and urban pop, folk and soul to great effect, winning two Exposure Music Awards for Best Male Artist and Best Urban Song. Made is known that Ghanaian Dancehall King Shatta Wale will be on a hit song with them.
Ed Sheeran is already known in Ghana after his collabo with UK-based Ghanaian singer, Fuse ODG and producer Killbeatz. His cousin is Alonestar and together, they are bringing their aura to bear on Shatta Wale’s ‘Dream’ Rmx.
This was revealed by the CEO of Contractor Music Group, took to Twitter and wrote; Ghana @ALONESTAR1 is in today’s @JamaicaObserver about our @billboard albums he is on. Also, I wanna tell you a secret. He and his cousin #EdSheeran will appear on the “Dream” remix with @shattawalegh on our next project!!!
Recall, one of Shatta Wale‘s biggest collaborations was after he featured in Beyonce’s “Lion King” album and now, he has secured another deal with Ed Sheeran and Alonestar.

Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, (born 17 October 1982), known professionally as Shatta Wale (formerly Bandana), is a Ghanaian singer, songwriter, actor and CEO of Shatta Movement Empire. He won Artiste of the Year at the 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for his best known single "Dancehall King", and has appeared in films such as Never Say Never, The trial of Shatta Wale, and Shattered Lives.
Having achieved street credibility in a fairly undeveloped Ghanaian dancehall genre at the time, he achieved popularity with his 2004 single, "Moko Hoo", which features Tinny. Then known in the industry as Bandana, the song earned Him a Ghana Music Awards nomination. There afterward, Bandana went missing in the music industry for nearly a decade until rebranding himself in 2013. He began releasing music under a new name, Shatta Wale, under his record label (Shatta Movement Records).
In 2014, he peaked at number 38 on E.tv's "Top 100 Most Influential Ghanaian" Awards chart. He has since appeared on the chart each year. He was ranked "Most Influential Musician" on social media in 2017. He won 8 awards at the 3Music Awards in 2019 and also the most awarded dancehall artist in Africa.
