'My siblings use to dress me up as girl', says Yaa Pono

One of the finest rappers in Ghana, Yaa Pono, has narrated a childhood funny when he DA for an interview with Kwaku Manu on Kwaku Manu's YouTube channel. The Voltarian who hails from Anloga spoke about how he came into the limelight, how his music career started and how far it has come.

The Obiaa Wone Master crooner give a brief background of his family when he was quizzed by Kwaku Manu. According to Yaa Pono, also known as Ponobiom, he is the 'last born' of his parents. He happens to be the last of nine children and the only male among all the children.

Therefore, his elder sisters used to dress him up as a girl and plait his hair as well. He said that he has never shown his childhood pictures to any of his friends because he fears they will tease him since almost am his childhood pictures have him dressed like a girl.

According to him, he was well loved by his family because he was the only boy and pampered as well. He enjoyed his childhood. He said that he was well catered for by his dad right from basic school to university and he only ended up on the streets because that was the only way he wanted to brand himself in the entertainment industry.
