Who is Kwaku Frimpong

19-year-old Kwaku Frimpong, known as Black Sherif, started music two years ago after his Senior High education. According to Black Sherif, the streets inspire him to write better songs.

He was born into a family of six (6), to a Missionary father and clothes trading mother. He left Ghana after his Secondary School education at Kumasi High School for greener pastures in Switzerland also later in Germany, plying his trade as a footballer. After years of unsuccessful attempts at securing himself a team contract, Dr. Kwaku Frimpong returned to Ghana to start a retail business in auto-mechanical spear parts.

All this while, he had not taken a particular interest in herbal medicine or any item involving medical treatments; until he and his wife were diagnosed with medical complications which resulted in conception difficulties.

The viral hit song, “First Sermon” released in May 2021 has amassed over 2 million views on streaming platform Audiomack. “The first Sermon” was pulled off his yet-to-be-released project “Road To The Tape” extended play.

“The second Sermon” was produced by Ghanaian Stallion. The record owes mixing and mastering credit to renowned Ghanaian sound engineer and record producer, Samsney.
