Kuami Eugene Featured On BBC News' Focus on Africa.

Ghanaian highlife/Afro pop artiste, Kwame Eugene has made a prominent appearance on the latest edition of BBC news’ focus on Africa.
The 2020 Ghanaian artiste of the year took to his Instagram page to share snippets of his interview with BBC news. Kwame expressed his excitement at such an opportunity to put Ghanaian music on the world map. He revealed in the interview that the highest point of his music career so far was when he was crowned Ghanaian artiste of the year 2020.
Speaking to the BBC's Yvette Twagiramariya, Kwame Eugene mentioned legendary Amakye Dede, Daddy Lumba and Kojo Antwi as the inspirers of his illustrious music career. He further eulogized Reggie Rockstone, describing him as the grandpa of contemporary Ghanaian highlife music.
Asked if he feels his music has been accepted on the international market , the affable Kwame minced no words in stating that” To come from where I come from and to be making waves in areas like this (UK), I think that is 100% validation for me".
This is the story of a young boy from Fadama, a little suburb of the capital Accra, now projecting Ghana on the world stage. Kudos to Kwame Eugene and his team!!
