For about a week now, the case of the Rastafarians not being admitted in Achimota School, despite the direction by the Ghana Education Service, GES to admit the students, has been trending all over the various media platforms. As parents threatened to take the case to court, since they think it’s a violation of their children’s rights.
This morning, the renowned media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah has reacted to this issue. She wrote on her Twitter page that, “in all this, it’s the young man that I feel sorry for. GES, Achimota School, NAGRAT, etc appear more concerned about who is right. Think about the poor innocent boy, who is trapped in all this. He picture is all over the place. How is he feeling? Do you care?”
Her comments about the on going issues has made some of her fans to react. Some fans wrote that, the mental health and well-being of the boy has been ignored by Ghanaians, while others also commented that, it’s the law of the school and the students must go according to it.
Some Twitter users also raised a point that, the school allows foreigners to keep their hair and are not allowing the local citizens to keep theirs.
