Ghana as a country is really moving backwards and the essence of press freedom is not being exercised, information reaching us by one Franklin Cudjoe who is a political figure indicates that, the morning show host of Angel FM Captain Smart has been asked to take some days off air due to his constant criticism and bashing of the the government in power. Captain Smart is among few radio presenters who Boldly talks about the wrong happenings and corruption going on in the country. He has over the years been consistently bashing some government officials and ministers who involve themselves in wrong doings, he recently added his voice to the ongoing illegal mining and power shortage in the country.
Now according to Franklin Cudjoe, he had a conversation with Captain Smart and the outcome was that, he Captain Smart was asked to go off air for a while by his bosses as a result of high pressure coming in from officials in government. Currently what is happening in the country is the hashtag fix the country, and one person who is really in support of this agenda is Captain Smart. Ghanaians upon hearing this news didn't take it cool as they believe Captain Smart is among the few people who is able to pinpoint corrupt leaders and say things as it is, so him going off from radio just because he is saying the right thing isn't a good sign.
This is a development news the Management of Angel Broadcasting Network are yet to come out with official statement to detail out what is actually happening, all related information will be communicated here stay tuned.
