Mercy Nnenda Chinwo popularly known as mercy chinwo was born on September 5, 1990 into the family of five in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. She lost her father at a young age, and had to fend for herself and other siblings. As a result, she took her music ministry serious from the beginning.

She started from the children’s choir at age 8. Later she moved into the adult choir and became the music director of her local church. She was also lending her voice to gospel music ministers like Sammie Okposo, Joe Praize, Buchi, Chris Morgan and Preye. Later on, she began to participate in musical competitions until she came across Nigerian Idol. She eventually emerged winner in the season 2 of the Nigerian talent show in 2012, and came to limelight.

Mercy was featured along side Yvonne Nelson and Majid Michael in a movie titled house of gold in 2012 and she released her first song titled testimony in the year 2015.

Mercy is signed to EeZee Concept. The label is owned and managed by Mr. Ezekiel (Eezee Tee). It is a Christian record label doing God’s business on earth with passion for a divine move for the end time. She as won so many awards, her first award was in the year 2018 as the artist of the year.
