Ghana Produces First LGBTQ Movie– To Be Premiered This Weekend.

The title of the movie is ‘She Male’ and will be premiered in Accra, Takoradi and other major cities across the country. The movie as the title suggests talks about some characters and their sexual preferences or orientation which were at odds with society. The characters who found themselves attracted to members of their sex would however change from that path and eventually get attracted to members of the opposite sex.

Produced by Success Graded Films, the new movie is directed by James Yeboah and it stars Nadia Buari, Selassie Ibrahim, Kofi Adjorlolo, Samuel Degraft Yeboah, EB Forson, and Nana Yeboah.

The movie will premiere at the Silverbird Cinema( Accra Mall), West Hills Mall both in Accra and Akroma Plaza on 23rd October and then in Kumasi on the 30th October.

In a time like this when the LGBTQ debate is raging in the country, one is left to wonder if it is a viable business decision to produce a movie on such a controversial topic and premiere it right in the middle of debate.
