The entire music industry and Ghanaians are saddened by the demise of a legend who has made a lit of contributions to Ghanaian music. He is in the person of Nana Ampadu. He is a native of Obo-Kwahu, a town in the Eastern region of Ghana. The genre of music he was into is hiplife.
Early this morning, 28th September 2021, there were rumors about his demise but this was confirmed by one of the grandsons of Nana Ampadu. The grandson spoke on Hitz FM's daybreak hitz show to confirm the demise of Nana Ampadu. According to him, his grandfather was unwell for a while and this morning he passed on.
Upon receiving the news of his demise, some Ghanaians took to social media to celebrate him and console his family.
Ghanaian music has come thus far. Appreciation to all those who made contributions to its development. This appreciation also goes to the legendary Nana Ampadu for his work in the music industry. He composed songs in the areas of love, money, death, greed, drunkenness, good citizenship, effective parenting, and many more. His tracks are meaningful and offer advice for the listeners thereby offering the consumers of his music the opportunity to learn something whilst they enjoy the songs.
