Ghana’s overnight celebrity and a current social media influencer, Twene Jonas has landed in trouble for the past few days for making certain comments about some people in the country. Insults are his brand and this is something that keeps him going on the internet. He throws shades at anyone and speaks his mind in any language he feels like expressing himself.
One of the most powerful kingdoms in the country is the Ashanti Kingdom and this is why certain words used against the Asantehene has sparked several controversies in the internet. Twene Jonas insulted some elders and officials in the country as being incompetent and not knowing what they are about.
One man who hails from the Ashanti region and was in deep pain prior to the words uttered by Twene Jonas against Otumfuor cursed Twene Jonas. This has trended for quite sometime now as many concerned Ghanaians ask Twene Jonas to apologize.
Speaking a few hours ago as Twene Jonas reacts to this, he said that he didn’t insult the Otumfuor. He didn’t say any of the words they claim he said and if it was offensive in anyway, he takes it back.
I am helping my motherland but I know people will hate on me, i won’t speak like that again because I respect the Asantehene very much and I might have spoken out of anger but I know I didn’t insult him- Twene apologized.
Must Twene Jonas be pardoned? Was his statement against the Asantehene offensive?
