Award Shows Should Not Be Based On Financial Strength – Kaly Jay

Joshua Boye Doe, familiarly known as Kaly Jay for his media related and influencing activities is the host of “KalyJaySpace” on twitter. Kaly Jay happens to be a nominee in two categories thus Brand Influencer and Online Media Personality of the year for the 3rd edition of the National Communications Awards 2021.However, he has withdrawn from the 3rd edition of the National Communications Awards.

Kaly Jay has produced a press release stating the reason for his withdrawal from this years National Communications Awards and it reads

Fits of thanks to RAD communications and the organizers and cohorts of the National Communications Awards for nominating me in the ONLINE MEDIA PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR and BRAND INFLUENCER OF THE YEAR categories. It is an honor to be nominated, as I feel my works are finally getting recognized. However, I would like to humbly withdraw from this years National Communications Awards due to my discerning consideration of the voting fee required by fans and well- wishers.

I think Eighty (80) pesewas per vote is a bit much. And it will be unfair of me to ride on this somewhat “costly solicit” to gain votes from my friends, family and fans. I believe Award Shows should create an avenue where winners are selected on equal grounds and not based on financial strengths.

Nonetheless, I appreciate the heartfelt thoughtfulness, support and love shown to me thus far. I also wish to congratulate my fellow nominees and wish them the best of luck to all those who have already voted or started to solicit votes for me, I say thank you and God bless you.

The Kal Jay Brand would be nothing without your backing and encouragement. Let us continue to pride in the good works we do for our Motherland and strive to be great. Many thanks once again God bless you.”
