Adu Kofi popularly known in the creative arts industry as Agya Koo (born May 25th, 1969) is a Ghanaian actor and a comedian who hails from the Asante Region of Ghana, Kumasi but went in search of greener pastures in the Capital city, Accra.

Agya Koo came into the limelight at the National Theater around the 2000's when he performed as a comedian and was later introduced into the movie industry. He has starred in over 350 movies which have all been a hit as his appearance in any scene is always captivating.

The actor has starred in movies like Agya Koo Gbengetus, Ma Tricki Wo, Area Boys, Joe Criminal, Asew Red Card, amongst others. He was a cobbler (shoemaker) before hitting the screens and he was modest and humble in his career.

Agya Koo has been on set with many renowned actors and actresses such as Nana Ama McBrown, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin, Kwaku Twumasi, Akwasi Boadi ‘Akrobeto', Bill Asamoah, Matilda Asare and many more.

His career started taking a fall after his Okomfo Anokye movie where he starred as Okomfo Anokye, one of Ghana's most legendary fetish priests to have ever lived. Rumours were heard that he fell from stardom because he refused to stage some part of the movie properly.

As to the real reason why Agya Koo left the movie industry is unknown but we all hope to have him on set soon.
