Ghana's New Jersey has been launched and the design has garnered lots of mixed reactions.
Joey B one of the top tier musician and rapper in Ghana took to his Twitter handle to throw a punchline at new jersey, showing his dislike of the new designs.
In his tweet, he commented that "that Ghana Jersey dey bore pass gym Ike ein American accent."
This is a punchline especially used in music. It's a word play of: bore meaning angry (but also meaning muscled in twi derivative), Gym (where you workout for muscles but also sounding like Jim), and then Ike to drive the joke home.
This generated a lot of mixed reactions online as some agree with him whiles others think the design is a nice one.
Replies to his Tweet:
One user wanted to know exactly what was wrong with the new jersey as he/she found no fault.
another user threw a subtle jab at him replying that: someone who had colored his hair, how would he see nice things?
As stated some had the view that the new design was not nice, with 1nanerRalph stating that "Ebi really nasty"
Another user sharply clapped back saying that the jersey was "nice small" and that if Joey B wore it, opinions will change and it's market perception, reception and demand would change.
