Patience Asiedua popularly known as Nana Agrada has been apprehended for allegedly transmitting two satellites television stations namely Thunder Tv and Ice 1 Tv illegally without licence. Her arrest follows series of calls by the citizenry for government to intervene and shut down radio and television stations which advertise and announce ritual monies popularly known as sakawah.
The call for media houses which advertise spiritualists and mallams to be closed down came as a result of the prominence of ritual killings especially at Kasoa that is the same vicinity where the TV stations are located. Nana Agradaah, the renowned fetish priestess who claims to have divine powers to conjure doubled money for her clients is reported to have admitted to this illegality and is cooperating with authorities in investigations.
According to the Minister of Communication and Digitization Mrs Ursula Owusu, a joint team of Police, National Security Intelligence Operatives, working together with the National Communications Authority, arrested offenders who operated Tv stations without genuine documents.
Ghanaians in social media are very much concerned with the wellbeing of children and have began raising some relevant questions as to who will take care of Agradah's daughter. This questions follows a similar which was asked a few days ago when akuapem polo was arrested.
